Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SecureShot (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Joseph Daryl Locsin ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

Description of Service

SecureShot is a privacy-focused mobile application that enables users to:

• Encrypt photos, videos, notes, and files locally on their device
• Store encrypted files in secure cloud storage
• Decrypt and view their files using passwords they create
• Manage and organize encrypted content

The App uses a zero-knowledge architecture, meaning we cannot access, view, or decrypt your encrypted files.

User Responsibilities

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Creating strong, unique passwords for your encrypted files
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Password Management

CRITICAL: You are solely responsible for remembering your file encryption passwords. Due to our zero-knowledge design:

• We cannot recover lost passwords
• We cannot decrypt your files without your password
• Lost passwords mean permanent loss of access to your encrypted files

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You may NOT:

• Upload, store, or share illegal content
• Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent security measures
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to store or distribute malware
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission

Content Ownership and License

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you encrypt and store using the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store your encrypted files on our servers
• Transmit your encrypted files between your devices
• Perform technical operations necessary to provide the service

This license is non-exclusive, worldwide, and exists solely to enable the App's functionality.

Our Content

The App itself, including its design, code, branding, and features, is owned by Joseph Daryl Locsin and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Privacy and Data

Our collection and use of information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points:

• We cannot access your encrypted file contents
• We collect minimal metadata to operate the service
• Your encryption passwords never leave your device
• We do not sell your data to third parties

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Specific uptime percentages
• Compatibility with all devices or operating systems
• Permanent availability of any feature

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
• Update system requirements

Data Loss and Backups

IMPORTANT: You acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your encrypted files
• Technical failures, account deletion, or lost passwords may result in permanent data loss
• We are not liable for any data loss, regardless of cause
• The App's local and cloud storage are NOT a backup service

Fees and Payment

The App may offer free and paid tiers or features. By subscribing to paid services:

• You agree to pay all applicable fees
• Payments are processed through third-party payment processors
• Subscription fees are generally non-refundable
• We may change pricing with advance notice

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Using the in-app account deletion feature
• Contacting support at support@secureshotapp.com

Upon termination, your encrypted files will be deleted from our servers within 30 days.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse the service or create security risks

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• SECURITY OR ACCURACY OF THE APP
• UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• All errors or bugs will be corrected
• The App is completely secure from unauthorized access

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees you paid in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for data loss, business interruption, or lost profits

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joseph Daryl Locsin from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable laws
• Content you store or share using the App

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the Philippines, except for:

• Claims that may be brought in small claims court
• Intellectual property disputes

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Export Control

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. or Philippine government embargo and are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting updated Terms in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Joseph Daryl Locsin regarding the App.
